PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Etan Seeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pray might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult. Lay Pray has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lay Pray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Etan Seeman!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Seeman.
Pray has a takedown stuffed.
Pray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seeman tries to avoid it but Pray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seeman to the ground. Seeman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seeman's waist but Seeman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pray off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pray shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Seeman defends it nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pray.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seeman struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seeman tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pray tries to score with some ground and pound. Seeman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Pray trying to control the action but Seeman is working from the bottom.
Seeman trying to remain calm as Pray controls from the top position.
Pray trying to control the position but Seeman is working away.
Pray has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Pray there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pray tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pray has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Seeman is working to get back to half guard.
Pray content just to control the position here.
Pray tries to control but Seeman wriggling away.
Pray breaks from Seeman's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Pray looking to finish with strikes here!
Pray wants to control the pace but Seeman is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Seeman regains half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Seeman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pray stopping the sweep attempt from Seeman.
Pray seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Seeman pulls Pray in to control the position.
Pray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seeman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Seeman holds on and takes a little breather.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pray controlling from the top position.
Pray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Seeman is keeping the position for now.
Seeman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pray is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Seeman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pray takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Seeman sizes up Pray with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Pray drives through with a takedown into Seeman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lay Pray dominated that round.
That's time! Pray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Seeman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pray.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Seeman scores with a jab to the body.
Seeman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pray is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Seeman lands a body shot.
Seeman punishes Pray's body with a nice straight punch.
Seeman connects with a body shot.
Pray walks into a jab.
Pray takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Seeman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Seeman lands a big uppercut and Pray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pray looks OK. Seeman waves Pray back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seeman steps in with a hook that catches Pray right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Seeman follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Pray looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Etan Seeman!
Etan Seeman looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Whos your DADDY?'.
