The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stevens slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss

and Stevens counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Stevens drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Stevens off! Stevens jumps back into Diaz's guard.
Diaz is looking to stand up but Stevens isn't so interested in that idea.

Stevens drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Stevens seems to have locked his on tight now - Diaz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Stevens, as he picks up the win!

Travis Stevens was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
