The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tuncay clinches.

Tuncay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tuncay throws a head kick that half lands.
Tuncay misses with a jab, cross combination.

Herman closes the distance and clinches.

Tuncay manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Herman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Herman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Herman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Herman trying to control the position from guard on top but Tuncay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tuncay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Herman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Herman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Herman stands up from Tuncay's guard - Herman perhaps looking for a knockout.

Tuncay closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Herman did well to prevent Tuncay getting side control.

Herman is staying active underneath Tuncay, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
