The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Almeada looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Almeada takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Silva - that will leave a mark!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A thudding body kick lands there by Silva!
Silva throws a head kick that Almeada semi-blocks.
Silva connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Almeada to the floor! Silva dives in looking for the finish!

Almeada is rocked!
It looks like Silva is going to stand back up.
Almeada is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to stand up but Almeada is controlling the position.
Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Almeada takes a jab right on the kisser.
Almeada fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva thows a body kick. Almeada tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Almeada takes a kick to the side of the head.
Anderson Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva lands a jab to Almeada's midsection.
Almeada has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Almeada's head.

Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Almeada. Almeada circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Almeada's calf.
Almeada fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Silva throws a series of strikes that have Almeada backpedaling.
The fighters circle, before Silva throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Almeada's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Silva lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
