Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paullly Pullman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins comes to the cage accompanied by The Darkness - Growing On Me. Paullly Pullman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Barry Hawkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paullly Pullman!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins has a takedown stuffed.
Pullman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hawkins shoots in for a double leg but Pullman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Pullman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hawkins keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pullman has clasped his hands together around Hawkins's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawkins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hawkins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pullman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pullman's back!

I really don't envy Pullman right now.

Pullman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pullman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Hawkins shoots in but Pullman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barry Hawkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pullman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hawkins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pullman off and has taken his back!
Hawkins is trying to stick to Pullman's back but Pullman is turning into Hawkins. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hawkins's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pullman.

Hawkins has his foot on Pullman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pullman works his way back into a safe position though.
Hawkins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hawkins is staying active underneath Pullman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pullman slips a nice elbow through Hawkins's hands, connecting with Hawkins's forehead.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hawkins is on top in guard.

Pullman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pullman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hawkins dives into side control.
Paullly Pullman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Pullman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hawkins wants to take a breather but Pullman is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hawkins is trying to control. Pullman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Pullman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pullman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hawkins wants to free his trapped foot but Pullman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Hawkins wants to pass the guard but Pullman is defending well.

Hawkins is keen to just control but Pullman is a slippery customer.
Pullman won't allow Hawkins to pass to mount.
Pullman is not content to let Hawkins control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Barry Hawkins will probably get the nod.

Pullman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Hawkins wants to take a breather but Pullman is having none of it.

Hawkins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Barry Hawkins decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
