Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Banan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Banan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie closes the distance and clinches.
Banan is trying to break free.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Banan just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Banan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Banan tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Banan's guard.
Gracie prevents Banan from getting back to his feet.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Banan wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Banan is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea.

Gracie looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Banan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Banan pushes Gracie up against the ropes in a clinch.

Banan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jan Banan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie is looking to clinch but Banan is avoiding it.
Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banan keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie trying to control the action but Banan is working from the bottom.
Banan tries to escape but Gracie is in control.
Banan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Gracie has an Americana. Banan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
