Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamison Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caleb Hensley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hensley has chosen Eye of The Tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hensley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Byrd looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hensley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hensley throwing strikes but missing.
Hensley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Byrd tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Byrd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hensley on the ground.
Byrd is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hensley instigates a clinch.
Hensley misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Byrd.
Hensley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hensley throws a leg kick that is checked
and Byrd counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Byrd.

Byrd tries to stand but Hensley is controlling from the bottom.
Hensley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Byrd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hensley is tightening it up a little... Byrd has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Byrd reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Byrd taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hensley!
