The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Of Leicester throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ponov tries to counter with a takedown but Of Leicester is quick to defend against it.
Of Leicester swings for the body but Ponov moves out of range.
Ponov attempts a counter takedown but Of Leicester avoids it well and moves away.
The Bishop Of Leicester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Of Leicester fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ponov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Of Leicester dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Of Leicester throws an off balance right hand

and Ponov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Of Leicester looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ponov is one step ahead there.
Of Leicester lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Of Leicester seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ponov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Of Leicester won't allow Ponov to sweep him here.
Of Leicester is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ponov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Of Leicester cracks Ponov with a hook to the temple - Ponov is on wobbly legs here! Of Leicester swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ponov falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Of Leicester wins by TKO!
