Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Finlay Darrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayde Parcins!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darrow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Darrow misses with a low kick.
Parcins steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Darrow.
Parcins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Darrow on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Darrow swings for the body but Parcins moves out of range.
Darrow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parcins takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Darrow lands a nice hook to Parcins's body. Parcins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Finlay Darrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darrow lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A looping hook to the body misses from Parcins. Darrow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Parcins swings for the body but Darrow moves out of range.
Darrow connects with a leg kick. Parcins looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Darrow ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Darrow connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Parcins momentarily.

Darrow doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Darrow ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Darrow no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Darrow wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Parcins wanted to stand there but Darrow had control of the position.
Darrow has control of Parcins's left arm, preventing Parcins from doing any damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Darrow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Darrow is controlling the pace.
Darrow's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Parcins should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parcins throws a poor cross that misses
and Darrow counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Darrow digs a good body shot into Parcins's ribs.
Darrow connects with a body shot that sends Parcins's belly button to the back.

Parcins moves into the clinch.
Darrow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Parcins is defending well for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Parcins wants to stand but Darrow has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Darrow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parcins can do to turn this around?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Darrow is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Darrow has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Parcins uses from the top position.
