The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalaway fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Railroad throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
And Kalaway counters with a quick kick to the body but Railroad blocks it.
Kalaway tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Railroad swivels and escapes.
Kalaway shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Railroad as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Kalaway. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kalaway throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Railroad's waist but Railroad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kalaway off to one side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kalaway.
Railroad leaves Kalaway with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kalaway shoots in for a takedown but Railroad shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kalaway could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've been hearing good reports from Kalaway's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
