The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland scores with a crisp jab that stopped Munoz in his tracks.

It looks like Mark Munoz has been cut.
Kirkland thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Munoz if he has to take too many more of those.
Munoz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Munoz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kirkland finds it's way round the side to connect with Munoz's head.
Kirkland lands with a nice body punch.
Munoz moves in looking to clinch but Kirkland pushes him off.

Kirkland lands a big uppercut and Munoz crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Munoz looks OK. Kirkland waves Munoz back to his feet!

Munoz is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kirkland throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Munoz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Munoz is still on wobbly legs! Can Kirkland finish him?
Munoz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kirkland lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kirkland, right into the meat.
Kirkland ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Munoz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kirkland swivels and escapes.
Munoz seems to have recovered his senses.
Munoz looks winded!
Kirkland throws a series of punches but Munoz avoids them all with ease.
Munoz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've been told by Kirkland's head coaches at The Hut - $50 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kirkland misses with a head kick.
Munoz has his takedown stuffed
and Kirkland counters with a slapping leg kick.

Munoz shoots for a double leg takedown but Kirkland sprawls well. He's pushed Munoz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Troy Kirkland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Munoz.
Kirkland scores with a hook to the body. Munoz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Munoz takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kirkland lands a nice shot to the body.
Munoz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kirkland lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That has opened up Mark Munoz's cut even more.
Munoz looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kirkland lands a right hand from hell, dropping Munoz. Kirkland pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

A relieved looking Troy Kirkland thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
