The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Cruz tries for a takedown but Bob circles away easily
and Bob counters with a two punch combo.
Bob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bob clinches up with De La Cruz and pushes him back against the cage.

Bob breaks the clinch.
De La Cruz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bob moves into the clinch.
Bob prevents De La Cruz from breaking the clinch.

Bob successfully pulls guard.
Bob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bob looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De La Cruz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bob is keeping the position for now.

De La Cruz drops back looking for a leg! Bob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bob manages to kick De La Cruz off! De La Cruz jumps back into Bob's guard.

De La Cruz cracks Bob with a solid left hand.
De La Cruz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bob works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
De La Cruz throws a big right hand that misses.
De La Cruz looking to pass the guard.

Bob keeping moving, preventing De La Cruz from controlling successfully.
Bob controls De La Cruz momentarily but De La Cruz frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

De La Cruz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says De La Cruz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bob screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with De La Cruz! Nice submission victory there!
