Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bert Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crank Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw swinging wildly here.
Shaw misses with a body shot
and Drago connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shaw looks to land a right hand but Drago moved out of range.
Shaw walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Drago seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A big right from Shaw misses.
Drago was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Shaw closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Shaw fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drago manages to avoid it.
Drago steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shaw.
Crank Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaw throws out a counter right but Drago avoids it with no problem.

It looked like Drago was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shaw.

Shaw fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Drago looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Shaw moves into range and clinches up with Drago.

Shaw has had enough of the clinch but Drago keeps him there for the moment.

Shaw tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Drago's elbow.

Shaw lands a hook that snaps the head of Drago backwards.

Shaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shaw throws a right and a left that Drago avoids nicely.
Drago gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Shaw rushes Drago and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Drago is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Shaw is keeping busy.
Shaw misses with a punch on the inside.
Shaw scores with a nice hook to the head.
Drago throws a punch but it's blocked by Shaw.
Shaw lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Drago or not.
Drago swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Shaw pushes Drago back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crank Shaw dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Shaw has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Drago is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Shaw doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Drago crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Drago's bad books for that mishap!
