Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frances Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenor Vodenski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lenor Vodenski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frances Colon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenor Vodenski!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vodenski throws a series of punches but Colon moves out of range.

Vodenski scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Vodenski is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Colon's shoulder. That is not cool.
Vodenski looks up at the clock and then as Colon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vodenski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!


It looks like Frances Colon has been cut.
Vodenski remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Let's hope that Vodenski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vodenski decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Vodenski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Colon is trying to defend but Vodenski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Vodenski decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Lenor Vodenski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vodenski looks to throw a body kick
and Colon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Vodenski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vodenski lands in his opponent's guard.
Vodenski looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Vodenski working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Vodenski works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Vodenski tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Vodenski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Colon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vodenski is looking for a kimura but Colon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vodenski to get the leverage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Vodenski seems content to control.
Vodenski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Vodenski trying to control the action but Colon is working from the bottom.
Vodenski keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Vodenski stalling away here and it's allowed Colon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vodenski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The referee asks Vodenski politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vodenski prefers to stall for the moment though.

Vodenski goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Colon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vodenski but great work by Colon.
You can see the frustration on Vodenski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Vodenski closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Colon quickly recovers to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Colon wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Vodenski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Colon!

Vodenski stands up.

Vodenski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Colon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lenor Vodenski has got the better of the ground game so far.
Vodenski controls the position.
Colon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vodenski on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colon wants to control but Vodenski postures up.

Colon trying to control but Vodenski flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Vodenski has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Colon's body.
Vodenski lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Colon hold on?!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vodenski looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vodenski has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Colon is trying to remain composed but Vodenski is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.


Colon is rocked!


Frances Colon's cut is getting worse.
Vodenski drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Colon is in real trouble here! Vodenski lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Vodenski is delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lenor Vodenski!
