Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leo Marquis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Moe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marquis comes to the cage accompanied by Heltah Skeltah- ruck n Roll. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Marquis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Moe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquis blocks a head kick by Moe.
Marquis throwing a counter right hand but Moe manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Moe. Marquis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marquis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Moe tried to score with a low kick but Marquis checks it.
Marquis avoids the head kick by Moe.
Moe looks to land a body kick but Marquis moved away.
A thudding body kick lands there by Moe!

Marquis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moe to the ground. Marquis is now in Moe's guard.

Marquis stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Moe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Marquis.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moe stops Marquis from passing to mount.
A lull in the action here as Marquis stalls from top position.

Marquis controlling the position from side mount.
Moe is trying to control Marquis's posture but Marquis avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee asks Marquis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marquis prefers to stall for the moment though.
Marquis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Moe for as long as he can get away with.

Marquis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marquis appears to be looking for a big counter.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Moe has eaten all the pies!
Moe takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Moe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Moe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moe blocks a head kick by Marquis.
Moe throws out a leg kick but Marquis moves out of range and Moe only half commits.

and Marquis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Joe Moe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Marquis counters with a nice double leg into guard.


Moe is rocked!
Moe looks winded!
Marquis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Marquis continues to stall.
Moe trying to keep a closed guard but Marquis is proving a slippery customer.

Marquis controlling from the top position.

Marquis drops back looking for a leg! Moe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moe manages to kick Marquis off! Marquis jumps back into Moe's guard.
Marquis forces his way into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Marquis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Marquis moves into the clinch successfully.
Moe trying to control the position but instead, Marquis has worked for underhooks and has pushed Moe into the cage.
Marquis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moe can do to turn this around?
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Moe just misses with a elbow thrown towards Marquis's brow.

Moe is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marquis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Moe to the mat. Moe regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Moe pushes Marquis off and gets back to his feet.

Marquis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Leo Marquis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marquis is looking to advance position but Moe won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marquis controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marquis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Moe trying to control from the bottom.
Marquis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marquis lands a nice short elbow.
Marquis wants to pass to mount but Moe is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Still in half guard, Marquis seems content to control.

Marquis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Moe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moe.
Marquis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Moe wants to sweep here but Marquis controlling him for the moment.
Marquis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Marquis counters with a one-two to the body.
Moe is still on wobbly legs! Can Marquis finish him?

Marquis is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Moe is in big trouble! Marquis is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Moe. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Leo Marquis!
A relieved looking Leo Marquis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
