Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willie Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott has taken the fight to the clinch.

Scott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sampson, up you get!

Sampson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scott after a bit of a struggle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sampson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Scott is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sampson to the mat. Sampson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sampson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Scott throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sampson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Scott is in Sampson's guard.

Sampson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

A close second round but Grant Scott will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sampson lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Scott hold on?!

Sampson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sampson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Scott for as long as he can get away with.
