The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarat drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sarat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vito pinned against the cage. Vito gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sarat prevents Vito from improving his position.

Sarat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vito doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sarat.

Vito can't keep his opponent in guard - Sarat advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Vito is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sarat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sarat has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sarat is breathing heavily.
