The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson fails with a takedown attempt.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bedford as he avoids it easily.
Bedford leaves Ferguson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Johnny Bedford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaiah Ferguson.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown but Bedford shows good takedown defense.
Ferguson shoots in but Bedford avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ferguson tries to pull guard but Bedford holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferguson drops back down to his feet.

Bedford ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bedford no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferguson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bedford manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ferguson has Bedford in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
