Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Rothko !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Bryan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryan slaps away a takedown attempt from Rothko , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rothko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bryan defends it nicely.

Bryan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rothko sprawls well initially but Bryan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bryan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rothko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bryan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rothko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rothko is looking to stand back up but Bryan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rothko .

Bryan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rothko reaches up to try and control the position but Bryan seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Rothko rolls and tries to escape and now Bryan has his back!

Bryan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Bryan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rothko has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Daniel Bryan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bryan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rothko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bryan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rothko tries to avoid it but Bryan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rothko to the ground. Rothko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bryan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

I would just about give that final round to Daniel Bryan.
I've got Bryan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
