Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renato Laranja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vin Pasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasco throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Laranja on the side of the head.

Laranja decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Laranja content to control rather than advance.

Laranja is working for a kimura but Pasco is defending it quite comfortably.
Laranja has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Laranja is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Pasco tries to roll over but Laranja keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laranja seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Laranja is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Laranja is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pasco is just riding it out for now. Laranja eventually gives up the hold.

Laranja is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pasco sees it coming and defends easily.
Pasco wants to control but Laranja is keeping busy.
Pasco is trying to stand.
Laranja is looking to take a break and control but Pasco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Laranja looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Laranja is trying to control the action in half guard but Pasco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pasco is trying to stand up here but Laranja is controlling him well.

Pasco is kicking away at Laranja from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Laranja grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Pasco trying to push Laranja off... Pasco taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
