Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Darth Mauler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bartosz Szkuta!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Mauler.
Szkuta tries to clinch but Mauler moves away
and Mauler counters with a nice uppercut.
Mauler connects with an inside leg kick.

Szkuta moves into range and clinches up with Mauler.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Szkuta is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Szkuta goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mauler prevents it.
Mauler lands a hook to the side of the head.

Darth Mauler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bartosz Szkuta.
Szkuta wants to take the fight to the mat but Mauler manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Mauler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Szkuta has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Mauler counters with a straight right hand.
Bartosz Szkuta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mauler connects with a body shot that sends Szkuta's belly button to the back.

Szkuta closes the distance but Mauler moves to the side
and Mauler counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Mauler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Szkuta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mauler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mauler lands a lovely overhand right.
Szkuta looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Szkuta is rocked!
Mauler connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Szkuta is still on wobbly legs! Can Mauler finish him?
Mauler circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mauler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Szkuta is aggressively charging in as Mauler backs up avoiding any damage. Mauler tosses out a jab and Szkuta runs right into it face first! Szkuta is out cold! Mauler dropped down on all fours and is barking in Szkuta's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darth Mauler!
During a confident post fight interview, Darth Mauler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
