Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Malac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jack ficco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ficco has chosen remember the name as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ficco stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Jimbo Malac has been cut.
Malac shoots for a takedown but ficco saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Malac shoots for a double leg takedown but ficco sprawls well. He's pushed Malac's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

ficco clinches up with Malac and pushes him back against the cage.
Malac keeps control of ficco as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Malac fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimbo Malac. That's going to take a lot out of him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now ficco is on top in guard.

Malac escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. ficco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Malac is looking for a triangle but ficco pushes his legs off easily.

Malac avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Malac might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
ficco distracts Malac with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells ficco's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
ficco is looking to stand up but Malac won't let him.

ficco drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and ficco jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

ficco gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Malac is breathing heavily.
ficco bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

ficco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Malac has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but ficco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

ficco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

ficco decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Malac, up you get!

Malac changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. ficco looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Malac is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, ficco has escaped the position, nice work there.

ficco wants to control but Malac is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Malac could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
ficco looks like he's trying to stand up.

ficco decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

ficco darts in and clinches Malac up against the cage.
ficco goes for a takedown in the clinch but Malac prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Malac is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of ficco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take ficco's back!

ficco is trying to shake Malac off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Malac won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Malac drops back, looking for a kneebar! ficco looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. ficco looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from ficco!

Malac is squirming around, avoiding ficco's attempts to control the action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, ficco cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

ficco can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Malac is looking to escape.

Malac has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. ficco is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Malac.
ficco works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Malac is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
ficco lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Malac is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but ficco pulls his head out easily.
