Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sven Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateo Da Vinci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes into the arena with HAUDEGEN - EIN MANN, EIN WORT blaring out of the sound system. Da Vinci is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: CONQUEST. Mateo Da Vinci told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski slips a straight right by Da Vinci.
A telegraphed right hand from Da Vinci misses the target.
An attempted straight right counter from Kowalski misses the target.
Kowalski ducks under a wild hook from Da Vinci.
Da Vinci misses with a right hand
and Kowalski counters with a left and a right that stings Da Vinci.
Kowalski slips a straight right by Da Vinci.
Da Vinci lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kowalski circles away quickly and effectively.
A right-left combo lands from Da Vinci.
Kowalski takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kowalski thuds a left hand into Da Vinci's body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Da Vinci swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kowalski blocks the body kick.
Kowalski throws a big counter combination but Da Vinci scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Da Vinci pushes Kowalski up against the cage in a clinch.
Da Vinci stalling against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kowalski has had enough of the clinch but Da Vinci keeps him there for the moment.
Da Vinci goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kowalski blocking some punches.
Da Vinci is working for takedown but Kowalski is calmly controlling the position for now.
Da Vinci lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kowalski backwards.
Da Vinci is leaning against Kowalski and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Da Vinci misses with the head strike.
Kowalski tries to break the clinch but Da Vinci is controlling the position.
Da Vinci stalling against the cage.
Da Vinci goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kowalski prevents it.
Kowalski is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Kowalski looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Sven Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateo Da Vinci.

Da Vinci breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Da Vinci dips to his left and cracks Kowalski with an uppercut!
Da Vinci connects with a superb combination that knocks Kowalski out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Da Vinci before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Kowalski!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mateo Da Vinci!

Sven Kowalski spoke after the fight, saying 'I´m gonna train harder and come back stronger!'.
