Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araujo comes to the cage accompanied by Who Shot Ya?. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Araujo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Teller is defended easily by Araujo.
Araujo thinks about countering with a head kick.
Teller should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Araujo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Teller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Teller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Araujo counters with a nice body shot.
Teller shoots in and drives through. Araujo sprawls well.
Luiz Araujo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jax Teller.

Teller gets caught flat footed, as Araujo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Araujo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Araujo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Teller's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teller wants to control but Araujo is keeping busy.

Araujo is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Araujo seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Teller turns into Araujo and is now in his guard.

Araujo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Teller is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Araujo gets a double leg takedown into Teller's guard.
Araujo slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Araujo in particular looking to stall.
Araujo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teller for as long as he can get away with.

Teller is in trouble now - Araujo has advanced to mount!

Teller is trying to get back to his feet but Araujo has full control of the position and if anything, Teller has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Araujo really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Teller.

Luiz Araujo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Teller is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Araujo controls the position.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Araujo is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Araujo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Araujo counters with a straight right hand.

Araujo dives in and scores a takedown into Teller's guard.
Teller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Araujo is one step ahead there.
Araujo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Araujo works his foot free and advances to mount.
Araujo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Teller is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Araujo won't let Teller get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
