Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Clegane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Scott!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Clegane enables Scott to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clegane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Clegane looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Scott postures up in Clegane's guard and throws a big left but Clegane blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clegane is looking to stand back up but Scott counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Clegane.

Clegane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Clegane tries to get out of the position.
Scott stops Clegane from getting back to his feet.
Scott not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott is keen to just control but Clegane is a slippery customer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Scott throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Simon Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scott scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Clegane tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Scott with a couple of short strikes.
Clegane is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Scott is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Clegane can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Scott has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Clegane's face.
Scott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Scott lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Clegane hang on?
Scott lands a nice shot to the head.

Scott wants to finish this one by submission but Clegane is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Scott.

Scott breaks from Clegane's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Scott looking to control but Clegane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Clegane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground.
Scott scoring with strikes but Clegane is staying in there.
Scott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scott lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Clegane that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Scott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Scott landing strikes, looking to finish!
You get the feeling that Clegane really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Scott lands a nice shot to the head.
Clegane wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Scott has hold of Clegane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Clegane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The referee warns Clegane that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Scott working for a guillotine from mount but Clegane is in no mood to give up.

Scott looking to secure an arm triangle but Clegane defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Scott dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Clegane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Scott defends well and Clegane ends up having to push Scott into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Scott cracks Clegane with a right hand to the side of the head.
Scott shoots in looking for a takedown but Clegane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Scott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Scott closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clegane quickly recovers to half guard.
Scott is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clegane!
Clegane is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Scott lands a heavy elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You get the feeling that Clegane really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Scott jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Clegane manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Clegane is trying to get back to his feet.
Simon Scott has got the better of the ground game so far.
Scott content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Clegane is working to avoid the ground and pound but Scott connects with a decent elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clegane is not content to let Scott control the position.

Scott wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Clegane, who protects the arm well.
Scott postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Scott has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Clegane bucks up and tries to throw Scott off but instead Scott has got his back!
Even with his hooks in, Scott manages to miss with strikes from the back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clegane is keeping busy.
Scott thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Clegane wants to get back to his feet.
Scott punches Clegane on the ear.
Clegane covering up well under a barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Scott is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Clegane with him. Clegane is trying to defend but Scott has an arm under the chin now! Clegane grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Simon Scott!
