The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roessler.
Roessler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Paul but Paul pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Roessler shoots for a double leg takedown but Paul sprawls well. He's pushed Roessler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
London Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joerg Roessler.
Nice straight punches there by Paul. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Paul.
It looks like Joerg Roessler has been cut.
Paul sizes up Roessler with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Paul steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Roessler is out on his feet! Paul sets himself and nearly takes Roessler's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
