Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Braddock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leary is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braddock lands a big head kick that sends Leary tumbling to the mat! Braddock takes a step backwards and waves Leary back to his feet - he wants the finish!

John Leary's cut is getting worse.
Leary is breathing heavily.
Braddock is looking to clinch but Leary is avoiding it.
Braddock doesn't manage to clinch there - Leary circles away.
Leary could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Braddock looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Leary misses the target.
Braddock tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leary paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Braddock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Leary swivels and escapes.
Braddock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Braddock delivers a nice body kick.
Braddock shoots for a takedown but Leary saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
John Leary has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Braddock.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Braddock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leary manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Leary was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Oooooh!!! Braddock has knocked Leary down with a huge combo! Braddock steps away and waves a wobbly Leary back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Leary is rocked!

John Leary's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Braddock lands a nice looking body shot.
Oh Leary is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Braddock drops Leary with a huge uppercut! Leary drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Braddock is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
