Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanley Sharpe!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe on the wrong end of a nice jab.


It looks like Stanley Sharpe has been cut.

Sharpe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Shahar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sharpe.
Sharpe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Shahar keeping moving, preventing Sharpe from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sharpe prevents Shahar from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shahar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Shahar being controlled here, momentarily.
Sharpe throws a big elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sharpe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shahar stuffs the takedown.
Shahar swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Shahar leaves Sharpe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Asaf Shahar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sharpe tries to clinch but Shahar is having none of it.
Shahar lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Shahar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sharpe.
Shahar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


Sharpe is rocked!
Shahar closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Sharpe out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Asaf Shahar!
