Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drugi Box (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Hanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Box throws a lazy head kick

so Hanks counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Box is wriggling around but Hanks manages to pass to half guard.

Hanks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hanks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hanks is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hanks controlling the pace.

Box trying to hold on to Hanks's head to control him but Hanks postures up.
Hanks wants to free his trapped foot but Box is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hanks connects with a nice short shot to Box's temple.
Hanks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hanks stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Hanks takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Box scores with a head kick. Hanks tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Hanks shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Box napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hanks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hanks stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hanks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Box wants to stand back up but Hanks manages to pass into side control.

Hanks lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Box gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Hanks controlling from the full mount.

Hanks working for a submission but Box is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hanks throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Hanks wants to control the pace but Box is squirming around nicely.
Hanks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hanks looks winded!
Let's hope that Hanks has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Box tries to buck Hanks off but he can't manage it.

Box connects with a jab.
Hanks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hanks there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hanks has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Box clobbers Hanks with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hanks ducks into an uppercut from Box and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
