The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smallun.
Smallun throws a right and a left that Doom avoids nicely.
Smallun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Doom is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Doom or perhaps it was just good defense by Smallun which made him look bad.

Doom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Doom seems to have recovered his senses.
Smallun avoids the attempt from Doom to control.

Smallun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doom on the ground.
Doom is breathing heavily.

Doom tries to hold on but Smallun pushes him away.
Smallun tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Smallun seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Doom for as long as he can get away with.

Doom wants to control but Smallun is having none of it.

Smallun avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Doom had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smallun is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Doom Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smallun's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smallun looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ivor Smallun just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Doom takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smallun avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
