Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Colombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cru Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 45 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franco Colombo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Colombo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Colombo tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.

Jones feints and as Colombo raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Colombo has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle.
Jones lands a couple of digs.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Colombo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Colombo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Colombo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jones connects with a couple of short punches.
Jones lands a couple of digs.
Jones working some strikes from top position.
Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jones with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jones drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Jones seems to have locked his on tight now - Colombo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Jones, as he picks up the win!
