Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kioshi Kemauchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xing Zhan Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kioshi Kemauchi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kioshi Kemauchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhan Yu throws a sloppy head kick
and Kemauchi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zhan Yu takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

and Kemauchi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Zhan Yu moves into the clinch.
Zhan Yu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Zhan Yu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Zhan Yu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kemauchi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kemauchi wants it to stay on the feet.
Kemauchi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kioshi Kemauchi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xing Zhan Yu.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kemauchi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kemauchi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kemauchi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zhan Yu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kemauchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Zhan Yu controls Kemauchi momentarily but Kemauchi frees himself.
Kemauchi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Zhan Yu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kemauchi controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kemauchi cracks Zhan Yu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zhan Yu tries to clinch up but Kemauchi circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zhan Yu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kemauchi blocks it with crossed arms.

Zhan Yu has clasped his hands together around Kemauchi's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Kemauchi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kemauchi is looking to cinch up a triangle. Zhan Yu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kemauchi's body to avoid the submission. Kemauchi has instead reached around Zhan Yu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kemauchi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
