Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw tries for a takedown but Frederick circles away easily
and Frederick counters with a left and a right that stings Shaw.

Shaw darts in and clinches Frederick up against the cage.
Frederick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shaw with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Frederick wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shaw with a lazy takedown attempt
and Frederick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Shaw forces Frederick back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw is trying to pull guard but Frederick turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Johnson Frederick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Shaw.
Frederick misses with a short punch on the inside.

Shaw pulls guard.

Frederick drops back looking for a leg! Shaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shaw manages to kick Frederick off! Frederick jumps back into Shaw's guard.

Frederick gets to his feet. Shaw looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shaw feints with a jab and clips Frederick right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Frederick is sent crashing into the canvas and Shaw leaps in for the kill! Frederick tries to get to his feet but Shaw is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Frederick is in need of a savior and steps in!
