Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between JT Spirit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimo Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spirit's entrance music is Norther - Youth Gone Wild. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JT Spirit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raimo Pukki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pukki misses the shot to the body.

Pukki gets caught flat footed, as Spirit shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pukki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Spirit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spirit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pukki controls Spirit momentarily but Spirit frees himself.
Pukki wants to stand up but Spirit is controlling him.
Pukki seems keen to control Spirit's posture.
Pukki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pukki misses with a looping left.

Spirit looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pukki!

Spirit has control of Pukki's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pukki regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Spirit seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Pukki is holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pukki manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Spirit not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pukki wants to control but Spirit is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Spirit moves into full mount! Pukki won't be happy about that!

Spirit looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Pukki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Spirit is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pukki is surviving well by controlling Spirit's body position as best he can.
Pukki is bucking up trying to escape but Spirit cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Spirit looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Pukki tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Spirit advances position into side control!
Pukki is trying to get back to his feet.

Spirit is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pukki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Spirit moves into full mount!

Spirit is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pukki can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Spirit with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pukki slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Pukki throws a big shot that misses.
Spirit fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pukki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spirit tries for a takedown but Pukki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pukki throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
No joy there for Pukki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Spirit jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spirit misses with a takedown attempt - Pukki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JT Spirit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pukki connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like JT Spirit has been cut.
Spirit shoots in looking for a takedown. Pukki tries to sprawl out of it but Spirit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pukki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Spirit shoots in for a double leg but Pukki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pukki looks to land a left hand but Spirit moved out of range nicely.

Pukki throws a body punch but Spirit moves out of range.
Pukki drops Spirit with a right and a left! Pukki comes rushing in but Spirit regains his composure and manages to keep Pukki in guard.
Spirit tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Spirit is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pukki wants to stand but Spirit is controlling his posture from full guard.
Spirit bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pukki's guard.
Spirit trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Spirit passes Pukki's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Spirit seems to be looking for submissions.
Pukki pushes Spirit off looking to stand but Spirit dives back in and keeps control.

Spirit working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Pukki looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Spirit! Submission of the night perhaps?
