The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zboczek scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Zboczek rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hernandez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zboczek throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hernandez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zboczek is in Hernandez's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hernandez manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hernandez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zboczek manages to get himself to full guard.

Zboczek wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hernandez is now in half guard.

Hernandez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Zboczek is doing well to control the position and prevent Hernandez from advancing to side control.

Hernandez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zboczek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ted Hernandez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hernandez is fighting to break Zboczek's control of his arms but Zboczek is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Zboczek wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hernandez manages to pass to side control.

Hernandez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zboczek defends it well.
Zboczek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hernandez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zboczek is bucking up trying to escape but Hernandez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
