Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sole Soul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Toro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, El Toro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sole Soul!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Soul counters with a three punch combo that has Toro backing up. Toro nods at Soul to acknowledge the strikes.
Toro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Toro wants to clinch up but Soul keeps it at a distance.
Soul stuffs the takedown attempt from Toro. Toro gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Toro. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Soul closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Toro is breathing heavily.
Toro is pressing down on Soul's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Soul is stalling in the full guard.
Toro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Soul trying to control but Toro is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soul's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Soul gets to his feet. Toro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Soul lands a left and a right that send Toro crashing to the mat, dazed. Soul thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like El Toro has been cut.
Toro tries for a takedown but Soul circles away easily

and Soul counters by clinching up.

Soul pulls guard successfully.

Toro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Soul looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Soul looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Soul!

Soul decides to stand back up.

Soul looking to score a takedown here. Toro is defending well but Soul drives through and ends up in Toro's guard.
Toro is wriggling around but Soul manages to pass to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Soul connects with a nice short shot to Toro's temple.

Soul stands up from half guard.

Soul darts in and clinches Toro up against the cage.

Soul gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Soul is stalling in the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Toro keeping moving, preventing Soul from controlling successfully.

Toro looking for a guillotine here but Soul defends easily.
Soul trying to control but Toro is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Soul lands a couple of digs.
Soul works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Soul is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soul is trying to work for a kimura but Toro is defending well.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Soul moves nicely into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sole Soul dominated that round.
The cut man is working on El Toro's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!



Toro gets tackled into the cage by Soul. Soul maintains the clinch.
Knees to the body from Soul.

Soul breaks the clinch.
Soul should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Toro doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Soul counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
El Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soul closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Toro's guard.
Soul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Soul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Toro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Soul cracks Toro with a solid left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soul would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Soul advances to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soul slips a nice elbow through Toro's hands, connecting with Toro's forehead.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Soul lands a nice short elbow.

Soul escapes and gets back to his feet.
Soul throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Soul clinches up against the cage.
Soul scores with a shot to the side of Toro's head.
Soul lands an elbow inside.

Soul pulls Toro into guard.

Soul is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Toro defends well.
Soul is controlling Toro's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Soul has his foot on Toro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Toro works his way back into a safe position though.

Toro has gone for a leg lock! Soul slips out almost immediately though and dives into Toro's guard.
Toro can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Soul controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soul connects with a couple of short punches.
Toro being controlled here, momentarily.
Soul scoring with some ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soul slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Soul content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Soul has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Toro!

Soul jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Toro manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Soul takes a little break here. Toro wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Soul is putting a hurting on Toro here, landing some big shots from side control.
Toro tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Soul presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Soul scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sole Soul has got the better of the ground game so far.
Soul controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sole Soul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on El Toro's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Soul dives in and scores a takedown into Toro's guard.
Soul postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Soul wants to control from the top but Toro keeps moving.
Soul sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Soul passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Soul in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Toro prevents Soul from improving position.
Soul wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toro keeps working.
Toro is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Soul has knee on belly momentarily but Toro bucks him off and regains half guard.
Soul trying to control from half guard but Toro is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soul looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Soul trying to control the pace.
Toro taking some punishment here, with Soul in his half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Soul seems to be working for a kimura but Toro defends the submission attempt.
Soul looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Soul is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Toro sees it coming and defends easily.

Toro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Soul pulls his head out easily.

Soul is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toro is just riding it out for now. Soul eventually gives up the hold.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Soul drives through and clinches with Toro against the cage.
Toro takes a knee to the side of the body.

Soul jumps into guard, dragging Toro to the mat.

Soul escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Toro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Soul looking for a guillotine here but Toro defends easily.
El Toro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sole Soul is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Soul is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


And that's the end of the fight!
Sole Soul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Soul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
