Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Afeef Isa Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Alvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Baba.
Alvey with a poor takedown
and Baba counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Baba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Alvey shoots in for a takedown but Baba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Baba connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Baba counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Afeef Isa Baba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Alvey.

Baba seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Alvey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Alvey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Alvey has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Baba.
Baba connects with a leg kick. Alvey looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Alvey throws a series of punches but Baba moves out of range.
Afeef Isa Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Baba.

Baba throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Baba lands a brutal head kick. Alvey looks out on his feet and Baba throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
