The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes fails to land with a series of punches.
Holmes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holmes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Holmes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bravo drops Holmes with a nice combination! Bravo dives into Holmes's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Benjamin Holmes has been cut.

Bravo stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Bravo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Holmes!
Bravo content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bravo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bravo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bravo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bravo is pressing down on Holmes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Holmes is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holmes pushes Bravo off but Bravo dives into side control.
Holmes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bravo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Holmes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skurt Bravo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Holmes landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bravo is pressed up against the cage. Holmes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bravo down to the mat. Bravo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
