PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrese Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johhny Hendriks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hobbs has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Johhny Hendriks told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendriks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hobbs but Hobbs pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hobbs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hobbs fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hendriks wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hendriks is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Hobbs looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hobbs tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendriks creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hobbs's defenses.

It looks like Tyrese Hobbs has been cut.
Hobbs is breathing heavily.
Hendriks wants a takedown but no success here.

Hendriks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hendriks is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hobbs rolls with it to try and escape but Hendriks cranks on the arm and Hobbs is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
