Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Your Head Will (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Your Head Will has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Your Head Will !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Will tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Johnson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnson.
Will wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Will wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Johnson manages to pass to side control.

Johnson seems to be working for a kimura but Will defends the submission attempt.
Johnson wants to take a breather but Will is having none of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Will tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Will fights it but they end up in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson trying to control but Will is working from the bottom.
Johnson is stalling in the full guard.

Will wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Johnson stops Will from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Will looks to throw a body kick

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Will won't be happy with that.
Johnson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Will 's shoulder. That is not cool.

It looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Johnson wants to control but Will is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

As Will backs off Johnson throws a huge counter combo but Will manages to avoid it all.

Carlos Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Johnson stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Johnson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Johnson works his foot free and advances to mount.

Johnson moves to his opponent's back but Will bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Johnson.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Johnson is trying to keep Will in close.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Will can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Will wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Will gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Johnson is trying to keep Will in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johnson counters with a one-two to the body.
Will throws a head kick that misses

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Will won't be happy with that.
Johnson controls the position from side control.
Will wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is dominant here and he's now got Will 's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Will goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Will lands with a slapping head kick.

Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Will manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Johnson stops Will from standing up.
Johnson is standing up over Will . Will looks to escape but Johnson dives into side control.
Will is trying to escape the position but Johnson is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Will keeps working.

A lull in the action here.
Will is trying to buck Johnson off.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The fight stays on the outside here - Will looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Will is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold.
Johnson wants to control but Will is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Johnson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Will does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johnson is controlling the pace.
Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Will knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Your Head Will has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Will tries to clinch

and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Will 's guard.
Will wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Johnson manages to pass to side control.

Johnson is keen to just control but Will is a slippery customer.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall.
Carlos Johnson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Will keeps working.
