Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Obi Canuel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Silva!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva blocks a head kick by Canuel.
Silva wants to counter the offense by Canuel and move into the clinch position.
Canuel throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Canuel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Canuel scores with a jab. Silva acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Chuck Silva has been cut.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Canuel connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Canuel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Canuel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Canuel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Obi Canuel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Silva.
Canuel scores with a jab to the jaw.
Both fighters circling a little - Canuel finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Canuel.
Obi Canuel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Chuck Silva spoke after the fight, saying 'it was bad luck'.
