The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lester tries to keep at a distance but Rodriquez has taken the fight into the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Rodriquez jumps guard and drags Lester to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lester landing some decent shots from guard.
Rodriquez is looking to stand up but Lester isn't so interested in that idea.

Rodriquez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lester passes into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriquez trying his best to control but Lester has mounted him.
Rodriquez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rodriquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lester postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rodriquez looks a forlorn figure.
Lester pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lester cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rodriquez looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Lester gets his hands free as Rodriquez looks to control.
Lester has the hooks in. Rodriquez is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Lester throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Rodriquez!

Rodriquez is looking to control the hands but Lester breaks free and manages to sink in a rear naked choke that ends the fight!
