The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dub throws a sloppy head kick
and McGregoire decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dub's guard.
McGregoire not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McGregoire's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGregoire drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGregoire jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McGregoire will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dub lands with a nice combination. McGregoire backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Connor McGregoire has been cut.
Dub pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As Dub tries to get set, McGregoire tries to push him back and clinch up but Dub manages to avoid the attempt.
McGregoire moves into range and clinches up with Dub.
McGregoire is trying to drag Dub to the mat but Dub just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
McGregoire changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dub fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor McGregoire. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dub lands a high kick!
We've been hearing reports that McGregoire has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Dub lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dub cracks McGregoire with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dub throws a sloppy head kick and McGregoire moves out of range easily.

McGregoire has managed to clinch.
Dub wants to stall.
McGregoire tries for a takedown. No joy.
McGregoire changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dub fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dub lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dub lands a big head kick that sends McGregoire tumbling to the mat! Dub takes a step backwards and waves McGregoire back to his feet - he wants the finish!
McGregoire is rocked!
Dub throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh McGregoire is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGregoire shoots for a takedown but Dub saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dub lands a big head kick that sends McGregoire to the canvas! Dub follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikki Dub!
