Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Simon Adabisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cobalt Khalil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Khalil's choice of entrance music: The Hives - Walk Idiot Walk. Cobalt Khalil has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adabisi leaves Khalil with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Adabisi is looking to counter punch.
Adabisi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khalil manages to avoid it.
Khalil let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Adabisi ducks under a wild hook from Khalil.
Khalil falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Adabisi counter with a right hand.
Adabisi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Khalil, as that shot connected.
Adabisi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Khalil.
Simon Adabisi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Adabisi jabs at Khalil's body.
Cobalt Khalil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adabisi looks to land a combination but Khalil avoids it well.
Khalil lands a two punch combo.
Adabisi dodges the punch combination from Khalil.
Khalil lands a right hook to the body.

Khalil looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adabisi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Adabisi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Khalil wants to stand but Adabisi has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Adabisi is controlling Khalil's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Adabisi wants to improve his position but Khalil is controlling well.
Khalil throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Adabisi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Khalil is working away from the top position though.
Khalil seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Khalil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Adabisi is looking for a sweep. Khalil is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Khalil not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Khalil looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Khalil changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Adabisi rushes Khalil and presses him up against the cage.

Adabisi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Khalil fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Adabisi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Simon Adabisi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cobalt Khalil.
Adabisi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Khalil back to the cage. Adabisi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Khalil does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Adabisi is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Adabisi. That snapped Khalil's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cobalt Khalil will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Adabisi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khalil swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Khalil loads up on a big right hand but Adabisi slips the punch.

Khalil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Adabisi dodges the punch combination from Khalil.
A little feinted left hand from Adabisi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Adabisi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

It looks like Cobalt Khalil has been cut.

Adabisi scores with a hook.
Khalil connects with a body shot that sends Adabisi's belly button to the back.
Adabisi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Khalil to score with a decent uppercut.
Adabisi lands with a big left! Khalil is wobbled badly! Adabisi comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Khalil to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
