The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fekt Jr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fekt Jr cracks Almeida with a big right hand but Almeida just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Almeida tries to escape but Fekt Jr is in control.
Fekt Jr lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Fekt Jr works to advance to full mount. Almeida defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Almeida sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Fekt Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Almeida's guard.

Fekt Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fekt Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fekt Jr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
