Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stephen Deforest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, VJ Lamban!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lamban shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Deforest manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Deforest really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Deforest looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Lamban wanted to stand there but Deforest had control of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lamban closes the distance and clinches up with Deforest, looking for a takedown. Lamban pushes Deforest against the cage but Deforest circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Deforest keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lamban cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lamban ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lamban no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lamban lands a nice short elbow.
Lamban seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deforest does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Deforest is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lamban passes to full mount!
Lamban takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
