PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azreal Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson has chosen Hollywood Undead - How We Roll as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henderson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Henderson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Halo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Halo tries to bench press Henderson off him but Henderson keeps the position.
Henderson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Halo, who protects the arm well.

It looks like Azreal Halo has been cut.

Henderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Halo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Henderson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Halo keeps working.

Henderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Halo's head.

Halo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Azreal Halo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Henderson lands with a hook. Halo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
James Henderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Halo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Halo throws a lazy right hand but Henderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Henderson feints the counter takedown.

Oooh a lovely combination from Henderson sends Halo down but not out. Henderson dives into side control looking to finish.


Halo is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Henderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oh Halo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Henderson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Halo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Henderson yanks on the arm and Halo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Henderson.
