Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kid Malemute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malemute was well out of range. Poor timing from Boyka.

Malemute takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Boyka connects with a body shot that sends Malemute's belly button to the back.

Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch but Malemute swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Boyka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Malemute looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Malemute sneaks out the side door and pushes Boyka away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boyka is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Malemute rather than just go for the knockout.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyka can do anything to dispel that myth.
