Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darryl Holloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marvin Van Hinkel!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holloway with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Van Hinkel to score with a decent uppercut.
Van Hinkel scores with a jab to the head.
Van Hinkel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Holloway moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Holloway was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Van Hinkel looks for the body kick but Holloway saw that one coming.
Holloway stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Van Hinkel.
Van Hinkel tries a head kick but it misses.
Van Hinkel misses with a hook
and Holloway counters with a takedown into side control.
Holloway has an Americana. Van Hinkel didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Holloway is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Holloway hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Darryl Holloway!
