Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orville Weiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samboom Metharon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samboom Metharon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samboom Metharon !
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metharon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Weiss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Weiss tries to counter by clinching up but Metharon breaks away and moves out of range.
Weiss misses with a head kick.
Weiss misses with a hook. Metharon ducked under it nicely.
Despite the aggression on Metharon 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Metharon scoring well with a low kick there.
Metharon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Metharon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Metharon throws a strike aimed at the side of Weiss's head but Weiss avoids it well.
Weiss is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Weiss is looking to reverse the position.

Weiss has one of Metharon 's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Metharon prevents Weiss from escaping the position.
Weiss manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Weiss really is a fat lump.
Metharon is defending against the submission attempts here by Weiss.
Weiss takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Metharon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weiss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Metharon tries to clinch there but Weiss circles away.
Metharon is looking to clinch.
Weiss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Metharon lands with a thumping leg kick.
Weiss moves into the clinch successfully.
Weiss wants a takedown but no success here.
Come on Weiss - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Metharon tries to break the clinch but Weiss is controlling the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Orville Weiss will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Weiss tries to sprawl but Metharon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Metharon is stalling here. Weiss is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Metharon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Weiss has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Metharon wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Weiss has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Metharon 's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Metharon is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Weiss!
